20 euro cent is a coin of the euro currency. It has a diameter of 22.25 mm and a thickness of 2.14 mm. It is made of copper-plated steel and features the same design across the eurozone countries. The obverse side of the coin displays the map of Europe and the reverse side shows a globular motif with 12 stars representing the EU. The coin was first issued in 2002 and is used as a medium of exchange in the 19 member states of the eurozone. Its value is equivalent to 0.20 euros or approximately 0.24 USD.
